67 Snake Rescue Emergency!

An animal sanctuary I volunteer with - run by my friend and mentor, Lori Torrini - recently took in 67 snakes and an African grey parrot from a heartbreaking neglect case.The parrot has since been placed with a wonderful bird rescue - but the snakes still urgently need help.Many of them arrived with low body condition scores, some others have presented concerning symptoms such as respiratory distress, deformities among other issues, and sadly, several had already succumbed to the conditions they were kept in before being surrendered. The surviving snakes are now receiving the care they need - but the road ahead is long and costly.Some have only needed basic checkups. Others, however, require ongoing treatment with Dr. Liza Pfaff at Critter Care Animal Hospital. A check up is $80 per animal, and many need ongoing care as a result of their living conditions, so this cost will become very high as these snakes recover.Please consider supporting their recovery - every donation makes a difference.You can watch a short podcast about the situation here:

I'm offering thank-you doodles for donations, drawn around my regular work schedule - with a goal of completing about two per day.If you request one, please know there may be a wait depending on how many come in, but I will be working through them steadily at that pace until every doodle is finished!If you'd like one, please read the terms below:- Minimum donation: $50 per doodle
- You can "sponsor" a snake by requesting one be drawn with your character!
- Or keep it snake-free with just your character - Totally up to you!
- Doodles are not for commercial use and may not be colored by others, however! I can upgrade yours to color if you like - Just ask for details after your sketch is completed! :)

- Doodles will be mostly artistic freedom, but you're welcome to suggest a general pose!
